2003 Topps Tribute World Series Edition - Team Tribute Dual Relic with Paul Molitor

Year: 2003
Manufacturer: Topps
Set: Tribute World Series Edition
Card Number: TTR-YM
Card Type: Insert, Relic
Insert Set: Team Tribute Dual Player Relic
Relic Type: Bat, Jersey
Card Attributes: Piece of Authentic, Serial Numbered
Serial Number: 124/275

Let's take a time machine back to 2003 when Tribute was still pretty new, parallel were few and Hall of Fame relics were everywhere.  Apologies for the crappy scan. I'm sure this relic is in a screwdown holder when I scanned it.  A great dual relic from arguably the two best Brewers of all-time.  The World Series Edition has some fantastic relics and autographs in the set.  Plus I love the old style serial numbering.  So huge.  I also love that this card clearly states that the relics in the card are game used.

2007 Upper Deck SP Legendary Cuts: Legendary Materials Dual Relic #d to 125

Card Manufacturer: Upper Deck
Card Set: SP Legendary Cuts
Year: 2007
Card Number: LM-RY1
Card Type: Insert
Insert Set: Legendary Materials Dual Relic
Relic Type: Jersey/Pants
Card Attributes: Relics, Serial Numbered
Serial Number 104/125

I have a love hate relationship with relic cards.  First I love the relic cards that feature Robin, but I hate the boring plain old single color swatch.  But I'll take what I can get and afford.

The 2007 SP Legendary Cuts offers a bunch of Yount cards.  The Legendary Materials relics come in all sorts of flavors and Robin has 2 cards in the set.  I have no idea why Upper Deck chose to use the word CUTS for the relic opening. As you can see we get two swatches, or maybe it's just one larger piece, it's hard to tell.  You can probably guess that they other variations of this relic card come in single, triple and quad relics and there is also an autographed version and an auto relic version.  Overall not a terrible card, but the photo is small and back of the card really offers nothing.

2004 Donruss Diamond Kings Legends Bronze Framed Dual Relic card

Card Manufacturer: Donruss
Card Set: Diamond Kings
Year: 2004
Card Number: 164
Card Type: Insert relic
Insert Set: Bronze Framed Dual Relic
Card Attributes: Relics, Serial Numbered
Relic Types: Jersey, Bat
Serial Numbered: 030/100

Here is a set that's going to be featured over and over again here on the blog. That'll happen when you have a gazzlion parallels and variations in your set. It really is an incredible feat if you can keep track of them all. I can't and  I rely on keeping good notes on what I have so when I come across these cards I can figure out which ones I need.

This card comes in a whole rainbow of flavors. I'll hazard a guess without actually looking it up, but there are probably over 30 to 40 different versions of Robin's #164 card if you count all the color variations, relic and auto versions, and framed parallels. It's almost mind numbing.

But here we have a really nice dual relic.  And I really like the dual relics that have different kinds of relics in them like this one.  I apologize for the blurry image. This card is entombed in a screwdown holder and I wasn't going to take it out.

Serial numbered to just 100. There is also a nice blurb about the artist and Donruss even tells you what years Robin had Diamond Kings issued for him
