Looking up tourmaline, I find that it comes in a whole rainbow of colors, much like other gemstones it depends on the trace elements trapped in the crystal matrix. Topps has chosen the pink/purply color to represent the tourmaline parallel. Like previous and subsequent years Triple Threads a base set on very thick stock and in a assortment of colors. As a player collector I do enjoy that I have new cards to hunt and acquire for the Yount collect and I'm not just limited to cards during his playing days.
