2016 Topps Gypsy Queen Mini Purple

Year: 2016
Manufacturer: Topps
Set: Gypsy Queen
Card Number: 334
Card Type: Mini Parallel
Parallel Set: Mini Purple
Card Attributes: Serial Numbered
Serial Number: 061/250

Topps stopped making the mini parallels for Gypsy Queen a few year's ago.  I may be the only one who really likes the parallel in both Gypsy Queen and Allen and Ginter.  When Gypsy Queen first came out hobby boxes also featured a "box topper" mini box of exclusive mini card parallels and variations. Sadly that too is gone.  Ahem, anyway here is Robin's 2016 purple mini parallel card.  The purple isn't all that eye popping, but still a nice parallel to track down.

1991 Milwaukee Brewers Police - Elm Grove PD

Year: 1991
Set: Milwaukee Brewers Police
Town/Police Dept: Elm Grove PD and Kanavas Landscape Mgmt. Inc.
Card Number: NNO

If your a Brewers collector there's nothing quite as iconic as the Police sets issued from 1982 to fairly recently.  The Milwaukee Police sets were given out at games as an SGA, but there were lots of smaller police departments that participated all over Wisconsin.  As a matter of fact from 1982 to 1993 Robin has over 600 different cards to chase!  And while the list here on the blog is pretty conprehensive it is by no means complete.  As a matter of fact this 1991 Elm Grove PD was not on the list.  1991 also marks the year that the sets went to the conventional trading card size.  And it makes storing these cards a lot easier.

2019 Topps Allen and Ginter Gold Framed Hot Box Parallel

Year: 2019
Manufacturer: Topps
Set: Allen and Ginter
Card Number: 352
Card Type: Parallel
Parallel Set: Hot Box Gold Frame
Card Attributes: SP

Been slacking over here on the blog.  I've been keeping up with the new releases, but haven't had a whole lot of time to sit down and write a new card post.  I've got a lot of new 2019 cards to post about, some in hand right now others still sitting over at COMC waiting to be shipped to me after Black Friday.

But I picked this beauty up over at Cardbarrel.com a few months back as part of a larger order.  These gold boarder parallel cards are the hot box parallels.  So basically if you were trying to build a set and got a hot box you're kind of screwed because every base card in the box is one of these gold border parallels.  They look really nice in hand and the gold border design really makes the card pop. Backs are still the same.
