Twenty plus years ago the card store shelves were a crowded place. The beauty was most stuff on the shelf was affordable, or at least a pack a two would set you back more than a decent meal. And the big four card manufactures had multiple licenses and gimmicks abounded. We didn't know how good we had it.
From that era is this incredible Leaf Certified Materials - Fabric of the Game dual player number relic. This set was serial numbered to the player number and there are only 19 of this card. And while the relic a plain gray swatch and likely just a larger piece spread over two cut outs it's still a great card to hold in your hand. When I got this and how much I paid have been lost to the sands of time.
The sport card landscape is a totally different place nowadays and for those of use that are priced out of new wax, there are still cards and sets like this to fall back on and enjoy.
