If there's one area of baseball card collecting, actually trading card collecting in general, that I love it's the food issues for the 70s and 80s. Drake put out it's first modern set in 1981 with the help of Topps. It would go on to put out 8 annual series in the 80s. The first 5 series' were produced with Topps as a box set, that I think you had to send away for. The 1986 set featured card printed directly on the Drakes packages, ala Hostess style. Robin is featured in 3 of the 8 sets, 1983, 1984, and 1985.
Like most of the food issue set's that Topps produced the card has a very appealing layout, nice colors, and a great action photo. Topps used the same back from the 1984 flagship set with a slight alteration where the Topps logo would have gone, it's been replaced by the Drake's logo. Even the blurb on the bottom is the same. Actually it's the same for most of Robin's other 1984 Topps food issues like Gardener's Bakeries and Nestle.
